Founded in 1841, this lake town of International repute, is perched at a height of approx. 6360 feet above sea level in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. Being one of the most sought-after destinations in the country, it is thronged by domestic and International tourists throughout the year. The town comprises of an eye-shaped tranquil lake surrounded by lush green mountains, which miraculously change colours with the changing seasons – truly a sight to behold. Bordering the lake is the bustling Mall road on one side and the quiet Thandi Sadak on the other, ideal for an evening or morning walk.
